Irene Lopez Leon is a painter and muralist born in Barcelona. Her work, recognized for combining figurative and abstract within a play of color, is characterized by thematic versatility and constant exploration. She began her career painting on the street, which allowed her to connect directly with the urban environment and her community, shaping her approach to public art. Irene seeks to integrate her work with the spaces and the people who inhabit them. Throughout her career, she has taken her art from the street to the galleries, actively participating in urban art festivals and international exhibitions.

In this series, Irene reinterprets the dead nature from a contemporary perspective, taking as a reference the tradition of vanitas. Through color, composition and the superimposition of elements of popular iconography, her works evoke the classical symbolism of the fleetingness of life, the passage of time and the transience of the material. Nevertheless, his contemporary approach transforms these historical references into vibrant and dynamic images, generating a dialogue between past and present.
