ABOUT ME
I am Montse Pelejà, born in Reus in 1964. I began my education in science, and subsequently switched and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Art History at the University of Barcelona.

Learning about art theory inspired me to start practicing it. Through self-study and experimentation, I developed my true passion and aesthetic: florals.

While the natural and colorful florals I paint are anchored in femininity and sensuality, they remind us to contemplate and experience the lingering emotion awoken in them.

From floral prints, bouquets or more complex compositions, in their organic forms, I play with chromatic displays and am inspired by classic period wall paintings and exotic embroidery through the ages. A sweet decadence which accompanies and tells us that all is ephemeral.
