WORK
Sabrina Sampere's works are a deep and poetic exploration of landscapes, with palm trees playing a central role. In her paintings, these trees appear both solitary and in groups, symbolizing a range of emotional and existential states. Her vibrant color palette captures the essence of nature, creating atmospheres that invite reflection and contemplation.
A distinctive element of her work is the appearance of an armchair inherited from her paternal grandmother, adding a personal and nostalgic dimension. This object, along with other chairs and lounge chairs, becomes an anchor point that invites viewers to meditate on the connection between the past and present. Her concern for the planet is evident in her portrayals, where palm trees are depicted as characters reflecting her feelings about the world around them.
The mists and atmospheres presented add a layer of mystery and symbolism, suggesting ideas of transition and change. These ethereal textures evoke deep emotions and reflections on the impermanence of life and nature. The symbolism in these works encourages the viewer to interpret beyond the visible, exploring connections between the landscape and human experiences.
Sabrina's creative process begins with preliminary sketches from reality, which she then reworks in her paintings, combining real spaces with more emotional ones. She thus transforms her experiences into poetic and symbolic communication that, artistically, leaves a lasting impression. Each work is an invitation to immerse oneself in a world where nature and emotions merge in a unique, rich, and evocative artistic expression.
