To celebrate the tenth edition of the Gargar Festival of Penelles, this year a special collaboration is proposed between the festival (curated by M. de Mar López-Pinto of the company Binomic Arte Media) and the gallery Espai Cavallers, with the aim of generating a complicity between the two exhibition spaces and the participating artists.

The exhibition “Emmarcant Murs” was created with the aim of showing the graphic work that the artists of the Festival make in their day to day, beyond the mural interventions.

This collective exhibition offers a varied vision of styles and creative proposals, taking urban art from the public space to the intimate and reflective environment of the gallery. It brings together a group of artists, whose work can be seen both in mural format in Penelles and in the pieces they create in their studios.

What happens when graffiti, stencils or pastels stop being ephemeral and become pieces observed under the white light of a gallery? And how do they then inhabit a personal space such as your home? How do they change their strength, their urgency, their message?

“Framing Walls”, beyond its own essence, is an opening towards other spaces, strengthening its role in the art world. It is an invitation to rethink formats, limits, and their potential as a form of aesthetic and political resistance.
