Love and Nature, the new exhibition of Espai Cavallers, show the artworks from the Nigerian artist Tomiwa Arobieke. We present an unusual type of art, an African art that moves at the intersection of tradition and modernity, redefining the story of Africa from a postcolonial perspective. The fact of being able to show these works in a Western context allows us to understand the agency and narrative of a part of Africa in a very personal, real and non-exaggerated way.

Tomiwa Arobieke is a visual artist of captivating and evocative creations. Born in the state of Ogun in Nigeria, he currently lives and works in the city of Ibadan. He studied Science Laboratory Technology at the Ibadan Polytechnic, but discovered his passion for art and embarked on a path that has consolidated him in the art scene.

Tomiwa's art explores human constructions and relationships, offering viewers a window into the interior of his characters and their emotions. In the artworks, we can appreciate a captivating narrative and a reflection of Tomiwa's own personal journey and the way he perceives the world. In each work, we can see his innate ability to communicate emotions.

The works of this artist, above all, save the emotions of himself and his environment to transmit them to the viewer; works that will undoubtedly generate an impact and will not leave the visiting public indifferent.
