The work Butterfly by the artist Perico Pastor is an absolute plastic lyricism mostly connected to everyday themes and the treatment of the human body, mainly the female. The artist has exhibited in many countries on different continents, collecting a lot of followers among all those people who do not look for fidelity to a doctrine in art, but rather the spontaneity of feelings.

He currently resides in Barcelona, but he has lived in different places on the planet. He lived for twelve years in New York, where he published his illustrations in Harper's, the Village Voice, Vogue, and especially The New York Times. These Collaborations allowed him to research without urgency about his work.

EXHIBITIONS

In 1980 he exhibited for the first time, at the Cornelia Street Cafe, and in 1983 he exhibited for the first time at the Estampa fair in Madrid. From then until 1989, he combined illustration and painting in New York and Barcelona. He exhibited in Barcelona, Madrid, Granada, Hong Kong, Paris, New York, Tokyo, Sag Harbor and Miami. In 1993 he was awarded the Morera Medal from Lleida City Council for his work as a whole; in 1997 he received the COE's special prize at the Biennale de l'Esport a les Belles Arts.

Currently, although he devotes himself fully to painting, he also collaborates with different media and teaches in New York. His work is in some of the thousands of public and private collections around the world.
